"Mmmm I'm Mr. Frundles!' Here are more concept roughs from the season 6 premiere I did. Mr Frundles, the terrifyingly cute boogens that bites everything and turns it into a cartoon faced zombie. There are already tattoos online with Frundles on a body near you! Next is the derpy Cronenberg horse that Morty befriends, rides, and attempts to eat Morty. Lastly the new Rick UFO that has added built on armor plating to withstand the chaos of the the dangerous rift he must pass through. 

RICK AND MORTY - Solaricks

Season 6 is here woohoo! The premiere digs back into Ricks backstory and leaves the question of whether portal travel can be restored for the season. While grinding to finish season 5's finale I found a window to concept out a few characters for the season six premiere episode. The first image is the 8 limbed goo monster that is summoned by the beacon the Smiths assemble. Next is the Closet Cronenberg that can roll up into a speeding ball to roll around and pin Morty down. Lastly is the Alien Lizards that are looting the citadel ruins for parts. Hope you enjoyed it!

RICK AND MORTY - Season 5 Skateboard Art

The Rick and Morty season 5 skateboard wrap gift finally revealed! This is the 3rd skateboard I've had the privilege to assemble for the crew gift. During the production of the finale for season 5 I spent about 6 weeks after hours laying this out and doing the final execution. Welcome Skateboards did a great job with a high quality finish to the boards. Hope everyone likes them after all their hard work to finish an exceptionally difficult season to produce. Thank you! RICK AND MORTY - Rickmurai Jack

"Rick and Two Crows" 'Oh shit, Kicking off a new franchise! Rick and Two crows forever!' The titular character 'Crow Rick' rough concept had many iterations that tried to best display his new crow companions after leaving Morty behind. The underground dwellers and cheap labororers,  Morlock Morty rough character concept pre humpback, attempt to expose the truth of the citadels weapon of mass destruction. Lastly, the Evil Morty escape pod rough concept punches him through multiple realities and universes before destroying the Central Finite Curve, freeing himself from the influence of Rick. I'm very proud of our crew for pulling this one off given the circumstances. This was by far the hardest episode I have ever worked on in my career and am happy to see the outcome pay off. Tip of the hat to the crew and their efforts for seeing it through, kudos. 

RICK AND MORTY - Forgetting Sarick Mortshall

"Mmmm trash, I love trash! Yum yum trash! I wanna eat trash!, wise words of Garbage Goober whom lives in a hole in Ricks garage. I was worried if the arms attached to the lips would be too distracting, but he came out great and is quickly becoming one of my new favorite characters. Lizard warlords of Kuntak rough concepts that hide a portal fluid supply. Last is Morty's bicyle spaceship rough concept that Rick cobbled together for Morty to be his errand boy handling the tiniest of tasks. Property of Adult Swim. The rough concept for Coat Hangar Face was so much fun to draw and gnarl his features in different ways!  The character team had a blast designing cenobites integrated with office supplies into their bodies in this hell episode, so good! These future western aliens are some roughs I did from one of my all time favorite episodes I have ever had the pleasure to work on. The Glockenspiel Jerry journey through the tag was truly a joy that made us all laugh throughout the process while working on it. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it! Dragons... this was an exploration sketch during the early drafts of the script that changed many times over. Originally the three elder dragons guarding the wizards gallows area were main characters even before the wizard was in the mix at all. Eventually they became background characters considering all the work that went into making them animatable. Oh well. Property of Adult Swim. Monster Morty! There were a couple other renditions I loved that cut, so in a pinch this Morty was born as part human part gargoyle gone wrong. RICK AND MORTY - Old man and the Seat

Ah the toilet episode. The Omega 2 planet needed to be as peaceful and tranquil of a location as we could get so Rick could do his business, little did we know he was a shy pooper. We did many renditions on the aurora borealis to get that just right, above is a rough take I did before Robbie Erwin knocked it out of the park. Next is a take I did on the sanitation command center which needed to feature new Rick tech as close to godliness as we could. Some alt alien elks after that I did that didn't make the cut. The High Intern was one of the first items I nailed down that helped determine the look of the monogatrons and their ship based on the skull of a catfish. annndddddd.....Tony explorations

The wait is over, Rick and Morty season four is finally here and am happy to once again be working on one my favorite shows! It was a long road back having worked on other endeavors since season two. I wasn't aware how much I was going to miss being a part of this visual process. Above is the season four promotional art I did to kick off the season with the house coming alive via Ricks' design while the family survives various acts of peril.
