RICK AND MORTY - Claw and Hoarder: Special Ricktims Unit

Dragons... this was an exploration sketch during the early drafts of the script that changed many times over. Originally the three elder dragons guarding the wizards gallows area were main characters even before the wizard was in the mix at all. Eventually they became background characters considering all the work that went into making them animatable. Oh well. Property of Adult Swim. Monster Morty! There were a couple other renditions I loved that cut, so in a pinch this Morty was born as part human part gargoyle gone wrong. RICK AND MORTY - Old man and the Seat

Ah the toilet episode. The Omega 2 planet needed to be as peaceful and tranquil of a location as we could get so Rick could do his business, little did we know he was a shy pooper. We did many renditions on the aurora borealis to get that just right, above is a rough take I did before Robbie Erwin knocked it out of the park. Next is a take I did on the sanitation command center which needed to feature new Rick tech as close to godliness as we could. Some alt alien elks after that I did that didn't make the cut. The High Intern was one of the first items I nailed down that helped determine the look of the monogatrons and their ship based on the skull of a catfish. annndddddd.....Tony explorations

RICK AND MORTY - Season 4 Publicity Art!

The wait is over, Rick and Morty season four is finally here and am happy to once again be working on one my favorite shows! It was a long road back having worked on other endeavors since season two. I wasn't aware how much I was going to miss being a part of this visual process. Above is the season four promotional art I did to kick off the season with the house coming alive via Ricks' design while the family survives various acts of peril. The alien Emmy bird explorations below that, Rick reveals that the coveted award which is this actual living alien bird that has endured exploitation by being "mounted to a wood base and dipped in molten gold" for our adulation, you monsters! - Property of Adult Swim. TROVER SAVES THE UNIVERSE - Fleshworld!

Fleshworld!!! This was my absolute favorite world to design. I wish I could have spent ages doing these. Never thought Fleshworld would be my wheelhouse but I think I it is now. The idea of this place changed quite a bit and my trusty blind Park Ranger unfortunately got eaten by the cutting room floor but still love his overall look and this world.

LILO AND STITCH - Chewgag Environment sketches

These are from awhile back that I never posted while in development. I was tasked with designing Chewgag's trophy room which needed to be decadent, slightly art deco yet sci fi and all out evil. They ended up going in another stylistic direction later but I had a lot of fun trying to figure these out.  

DR SPLORCHY PRESENTS: SPACE HEROES - Squanchgames

Dr. Splorchy Presents: SPACE HEROES is a Google Daydream VR game from Squanchgames. The first game I've ever worked on is finally here! The first background was inspired by a drive through Massachusetts and seeing a small town name, Braintree, as we were passing by and later did a quick sketch in our hotel room. TROVER SAVES THE UNIVERSE - Squanchgames

The game I've been jamming away on for the past year was announced today at E3! 'Trover Saves the Universe' created by Justin Roiland, is a sci-fi comedy/adventure game where your dogs have been kidnapped and stuffed into a beak faced lunatic's eyeholes and is using their life essence to destroy the universe! Originally developed for PSVR and will also be available on PS4 as well. This is the first teaser poster I worked on to help launch the game. Go to troversavestheuniverse.com to learn more!

Oh, the belated Valentines day card. This was for our Squanchgames sketch club prompt, 'valentines day mascot'. 

HOT DOG TIME MACHINE - Squanchgames Sketch Prompt

Squanchgames does a weekly prompt thats open to the public on Instagram. This weeks prompt was 'hot dog machine'. The previous weeks prompt was 'some f*****g shape', originally just a swirl of a brushstroke that your supposed to make something out of using the same shape and stroke. Thought it would be fun to capture the whole Rick and Morty/McDonald's riot, with a crab/dragon a la 'Mushu' from Mulan going AWOL for szechuan sauce.

UNDISCOVERED SPECIES - Sketch Prompt

Our company had a sketch prompt this week of "undiscovered species" and thus, this was born.
